About Us
Cabinet making is a 60-year-old family tradition for the Looper family. Looper Cabinet, Inc. is a three-generation, family-owned business which designs, builds, and installs all of their own cabinetry. Every custom cabinet is measured and custom-built to fit the kitchen, bath, laundry, mud room, etc. Charles Looper, owner of Looper Cabinet, Inc., got his start in 1978 in a small barn. From there the business grew and in 1990 he purchased property in Evans, GA where the company is currently located.
In the late 80's Charles was introduced to the concealed hinge and began using these hidden hinges to set himself apart by offering something different. After some research the decision was made to go with Blum concealed hinges. Soon after, business picked up and they had to find a way to build a quality cabinet faster. It was at this point that Charles Looper was introduced to European, or frameless, cabinetry and in 1992 he began to offer both face frame and frameless cabinetry. At this time, Blum's METABOX was chosen for drawers due to the 5/8" drawer bottom, as opposed to the typical 1/4" drawer bottom, because they like to utilize larger drawers.
Now Looper Cabinet Company uses all Blum hardware in their cabinetry including Blum concealed hinges, BLUMOTION for doors, METABOX, and TANDEM plus BLUMOTION.
They use Blum because the defining characteristics of Looper Cabinet Company and Blum are very similar: quality, service, and dependability. Over the years they have tried other hardware manufacturers, but the quality and level of service was not consistent with what they were doing at Looper, so they quickly switched back o Blum.
Today, Looper Cabinet, Inc. has two separate facilities for building cabinets, a production shop that builds European, frameless cabinets, and an onsite millworks facility. The Millworks runs moldings and builds traditional face-frame cabinetry. The cabinetry that comes from The Millworks is all-wood, furniture-grade, inset cabinetry. Any work done in either facility has a warranty for life, meaning they will replace any broken parts or pieces.
